Reason: miss wording
When we rode around downtown Washington there were several eateries down there, they were definitely small business owners. And someone like you would draw traffic to their tables. I would call at 9:00 AM and ask to talk to the owner, and ask for advice. They will help you because you will benefit you.
Here's a business oriented listing web site loopnet.net
Rentals and leases generate income for real estate management companies. They are also great sources for future buyer clients. I'm very surprised (and concerned) you are having a difficult time getting help.
Bill
Its actually no surprise to me at all that you cant find anyone to help. I live here and own a buisiness that im trying relocate to washington and i cant no help. There are sevreal buildings avalaible in the downtown area. most are setup for office spaces but there are others that just empty shells.
Check out pamlico properties website. They own alot rental residential properties and they have a few commercial properties as well. Also check the rich company site, and look under there commercial section. But the best way ive found is walk and call.
Thank You for your post, the best thing is to make a visit I guess. From Ohio I thought I could try to find something before I make a trip. I have tried the Rich Com. and emailed / got no reply.
I would also look at New Bern. They have a beautiful downtown on the waterfront. There are many nice shops, and the people are very glad to see you. My husband and I went there overnight recently and were very impressed with what they are doing in New Bern. The people are very warm, and welcoming. My husband does a lot of work in our own town for planning, and is seldom impressed but was with New Bern.
Thank You, I'll do that as well. My thinking Washington wants to renovate downtown they might be welcoming new business, but maybe not. Thank you for responding.
Restoration and revitalization is a common and concerted effort with many coastal towns. There are numerous non-profits set up for this sole purpose. Here are a few examples
Contact these organizations or do a Google search for other towns. A lot of our downtown areas have fallen victim to urban sprawl, gentrification and just plain ol' changing of local ways, customs and trades.
Let me know if I can be of some assistance.
