Coast Bicycle Trailpath (Wilmington, Morehead City, Emerald Isle: beach, bike, deal)

Thinking about hitting the Coast this weekend to do some good bike riding but don't know where there are some trails to ride near the coast, I do not like riding on the main roads since you have to deal with the drivers.

Does anyone know where I could go on the coast and find some trails to ride without worrying about being hit, basically "greenway" type of trails.

We have some great trails around here but sure would like to try out some near the coast.

Emerald Isle recently completed extending its bike path. It is 4.4 miles long, 10 ft. wide .

Atlantic Beach has a bike path that appears to run on down to around the Sheraton and beyond.

Morehead City has a sidewalk that goes from the intersection of HWY70 & 24 all the way to 4th street down town (approx. 5 miles)

You can do Neusiok if the former.

They're Cross Trail Bikes, I avoid riding on the streets, too many drivers not paying attention to the road!! Usually I'll ride the bike path which from what I can read, there's a Greenway path that goes thru Wilmington which looks pretty nice. http://www.greenway.org/images/NC.jpg
