If the storm keeps this projected path then south facing beaches (both inner & outer banks) will have water pushed up onto them. North facing beaches will tend to have the water blown away.

Default Just Great

Just in time for the planned and PAID for beach trip. There goes the fun & sun at the beach. Maybe it will blow in the gulf and raise the price of gas some more!!!

Sometimes offshore storms just bring in big swells and that's it. The sun's out. It's not overly breezy. The swells create great fishing and surfing opportunities.
Don't give up just yet. Too many variables at the moment.
And no-I'm not trying to sound like a real estate broker or tourism bureau. Things can turn bad. But right now-It's too far out to hit the panic button just yet.

Bill is correct. Storms that get close but don't make landfall make for some good times in the surf.

And it got even more amazing with an additional 48 hours.
Looks like what I posted Aug. 3 is what's gonna happen. Never trust a storm or storm reporter until both are knocking on your door.
