I'm planning on moving down to the Jacksonville area, and I was wondering if anyone new anything about what kind of places to go in the area. I'm 19, moving away from the burbs of Chicago, and I'm used to coffeehouses every 5 miles and clubs and malls, but I have no idea what's in the area.

Also, any good apartments anyone would recommend around there?

Jacksonville is home to a large marine base. However, that is all I know, I would be interested in hearing what people have to say about the area.

Are you in the military?

The most there is to do in the area is go to the beach! Since it is a military town, you can fill in the blanks.
