I saw a news report from Southport, that said residents from Southport to Bolivia have been feeling their homes shaking, and hearing loud booms, and that it`s been going on for awhile. Any ideas? Anyone elese hear this?

It's probably just the Seneca Guns--we get them all the time here in Brunswick County. Check out MyReporter.com What are Seneca guns?

When we hear booms in Sneads Ferry, we assume it's the Marines at Camp Lejeune shooting big weapons. Saturday afternoon and evening there were a lot. Is it possible the sounds could carry down to Brunswick County?

I've never known anyone to panic over the booms, although sometimes they can be unsettling. They don't happen that frequently--it's a "once in awhile" type of thing. It's looked on as an accepted quirk of living here.
