Not sure if you've tried any of the sites like Realtor.com, which also lists rentals. I'm sure Camp LeJeune has a housing referral office to help you too.

I have already gone through a lot of the online sites for rentals. Ive found houses that I like but just dont know what areas are nice and what are sketchy!! Always helps to have some input from the locals

There are very few sketchy areas around a nice house. There might be noise pollution, or odor or visual problems to check out in person. Also, closer to Jacksonville, there are military noises, like loud booms from artillery and helicopter flights. They often practice at night.

But on the whole, I think you would enjoy living here.

Military noises aren't a problem. Where I live now used to be within a few miles from a base (it got shut down 7-8 years ago) and we would hear the F-18's screaming over the house so low that your house would shake and if you were watching tv or on the phone, you could just forget it while they were over the house. You wouldn't be able to hear someone scream from the next room over!!!!! They were so low you could just about count the rivets on the bottom of them as they flew over! So, moral of the story, it can't get any worse than that!!! LOL!!
