Any seafood shacks in Wilmington? (Southport: restaurant, food, ferry)

I'm in Wilmington with my family right now, and we're trying to find a seafood shack. We came across a couple of them online, but they appear to be more like a restaurant than a shack. We're really looking for just a side of the road shack, shack...are there any around here? Thanks!

There's one in Southport about 25 miles from Wilmington.......Yacht Basin Provision Company. It is on the list of best in the country. You can also take the ferry over which is a nice trip from Ft. Fisher for $5.00 a car.

if you want raw seafood try ronnie's crab shack too on 17/market st. near ogden.

if you want prepared seafood, i dont know of any shacks that sell prepared food in wilmington. i'm not sure if i understand you - can you give an example of somewhere , anywhere, that does?

I suspect there are sanitation rules that prohibit selling food unless it is prepared in an appropriate kitchen. (We don't seem to have food trucks in Wilmington except for hot dogs carts.)

Other than that, the value of land in Wilmington would cause a shack to be knocked down in favor of a more valuable building.
