Weather is perfection now. Midway Commons is progressing enough that we are feeling good about it actually going in. Just before Southport, an apartment complex is starting up.
We live near Winding River, traffic to Shallotte is light. Going to Southport, it begins to back up as you approach town, after St. James Plantation. Hopefully the new road will alleviate that.Agree about Angelo's pizza in Shallotte nice place.
Being from the northeast, the traffic here won't faze you
Enjoy your visit!

We haven't been to the golf club house at all. I have only seen our lot in the winter time so will be nice to see it leafing out (I hope). Any more suggestions? We don't know anyone personally in the area to ask. Thanks again coastal1006 and carolinadawg2
We moved into our new home about four weeks ago, the entire process, start to finish was very pleasant/enjoyable. We love the house, we love the lot, we have terrific neighbors....who could ask for anything more............

We spent last week in CA. My son and daughter in-law live in Bakersfield. The weather was fabulous. However we can't stand the traffic, we love the peace and tranquility of WRP. Wouldn't want to live in CA/Bakersfield with the water situation in light of what the good Gov. Jerry signed last week.

You will love to see the trees on your lot leafing out, they get all the water they need

When you are here next week, if you have opportunity, give us a call. I'll PM our phone #/email.

Safe travels.

We have been talking with a builder. Starting the process. We will be in WRP. What is happening with 211 Midway shopping center? Any progress? We live in CA getting ready to put our house on the market to move East. Any new news would be appreciated. Thanks

Anyone have any updated info on winding river, in Bolivia. We like the community and are thinking to relocate there. Concerned about any flooding issues, with the Lockwood folly in the subdivision. Does anyone have any info to share.

The Lockwood Folly is a tidal river and starts out as the Royal Oak swamp on 17. I am not aware of any flooding in WRP. There a few lots on the river that might be in the flood plain, but the vast majority of WRP is high and dry.

Mr Purple, thank you for your reply, so I would gather that Winding River doesn't require flood insurance. WHat about taxes and hoa fees there? DO you feel there is enough social activities. We are both required and have no family or friends in the area, so we would like to have activities at the social hall.
