There’s the US-74 bridge. Sure, it’s a detour from downtown but it’s an alternative.

Putting all of that truck traffic on 3rd St will tear up downtown and all of the investment the City has put in.

I didn’t say it was a good alternative. It’s either that or take I-140 & I-40 (assuming majority of truck traffic is going west of Wilmington and vice-versa).
