Hubby and I have a 2nd home down in Southport. We were there this weekend and thought it would be great to see the movie, "Safe Haven" (filmed in Southport, about Southport) while we were there!

We both thought the movie was GREAT. It was very interesting to see the areas of Southport on the big screen!

In a few of the scenes, there were areas that I did not recognize and I wondered if the movie was filmed entirely in Southport or did they build sets in Wilmington and/or Bald Head?

The movie had a very interesting twist at the end and folks in the movie actually stood up and clapped.

Vicki

Thought about taking the wife because we love Southport but the movie is supposed to be awful.

I was wondering where the canoe trip was filmed. Didn't recognize anything and we kayak all over the place.

In the Southport newspaper, The Pilot, the town wanted to keep the little house but it was going to be $15,000 to move it and the town decided not to spend the funds. Not sure where the house is now.
