Wilmington's Eagle Point Golf Club might land the PGA's 2017 Wells Fargo Championship tournament because its current host, Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, is hosting the U.S. Open that year.

Interesting. It is in the Porter's Neck Road area, and is rated among the top 50 courses in the country: Eagle Point Golf Club vaults into U.S. top 50 | StarNewsOnline.com

For us real estate watchers, there are still some reasonably priced older homes around the course. Also some multi-million dollar homes along the water.
