Lots of good places out there, a little early in the season...Kelly's, Pamlico Jack's, Black Pelican, Mako Mike's....one of the most unique is the Port-o-Call...

Nags Head is fun. If they're renting a house on the beach, they can also get takeout from somewhere and just sit and enjoy it while hanging out on the water.

Yeah unless you're looking to get stabbed or argue with drunk rednecks I'd avoid the Port O' Call.

Of course if you're looking to avoid arguing with drunk rednecks I'd probably avoid any bar on the beach for a few more weeks.

There's also the Brewing Station, the Pit, Sunburn's or whatever they're calling that place this week, Mama Kwan's, Awful Arthur's, etc.

Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives has had several shows about places near the Outer Banks. Might be worth searching Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives : Guy Fieri : Food Network here a bit.
