How many more than six?
A classic offshore charter boat is called a six pack boat for that is usually the legal number of people it can take on a charter. A "head boat" is a reference to counting heads or people. These are the bigger boats that can take 40, 60, 80 plus people.
If you have a crowd of people such as church, corporate, school re-union, etc. then just about any head boat should be willing to stay on the inside for you.
How many people and where you plan on fishing (Hatteras, Morehead, Wilmington, etc.) would be helpful.

5 children, 3 adults. We'll be staying in Buxton. We prefer the sound versus the ocean to minimize the chance of motion sickness.

Contact Captain Rick Caton with Custom Sound Charters. He's been fishing for 40 plus years. I've known him for half that time. He is simply one of the best fishermen and charter guides you could find. If he can't help you then he will know exactly who can.
God Bless!
