Does anyone live in Brunswick Forest? We are 50 and just became empty nesters. Looking for a place with a lot of amenities and clubs. My husband will be working from home but I need activities to keep busy. I don't play golf but I like tennis, biking, fitness classes and kayaking. Is this a 55 and older community.

BF is not an age restricted community, although a majority of the residents are 50+.

Lots of information is on their website: Brunswick Forest – Coastal By Nature

Default Considering Brunswick Forest

Hi:

We live in Maryland and considering Brunswick Forest.
We are wondering about the water quality and what you have to do to make the water safe to drink, shower, etc. due to the GENX issue.
Does anyone know?

Thanks

Difficult if not impossible question to answer. First, showering is not an issue since Genx can't be absorbed through the skin. Second, no one really knows what the "safe" level of Genx is. The current amounts of Genx in the water is below the EPA recommended threshold. Third, Chemours has supposedly stopped putting Genx in the river. Fourth, H2Go, the water supplier for B'wick Forest, is trying to build a reverse osmosis treatment plant that will remove Genx. Its currently tied up in a lawsuit. Fifth, you can install an undercounter RO filter on a kitchen and bathroom sink fairly inexpensively.
