Hope I searched correctly, but all I found on relocations to wilmington were dated back in 2007!!!!!!!
I am single, in sixties, in good health but have not a clue where to look for apartments. Obviously, and no harm to you, I don't want to live midst the wonderful college students. Which areas to look into, or which areas to avoid???????? I love the beach so proximity is a must. I have been searching for info for so long, and I hope, at long last, I can get some honest feedback. Just want to rent reasonably priced apartment til I get familiar with the area. Outside wilminton okay if recommended.

Please let me hear from you....much appreciated
I would say leland or hampstead would match your criteria. there are some good places closer to wilmington, but it all depends on what you're looking for and what you want to spend.
You could also look at Wrightsville Beach and Carolina Beach, but both will have some college students. There are also some nice apartments clustered along Carolina Beach Road, Highway 421.
Most student apartments seem to be clustered along College Road, near UNCW, naturally.
Lots of recent threads on Wilmington, so I'd advise searching again.
