Hello everyone!

My fiancee and I are considering a possible move to the area in the next 18 months. We are in our early to mid 30's. I work from home, and my fiancee has experience in various fields: cook, automotive, heavy machinery operator, and currently own a small local general contracting business. He's kind of a Jack of all trades and very hard worker. We have no children yet, but not out of possibilities. We have 2 pittbulls, but they are starting to get up in age 7/8.We love the outdoors, like night life for the occasional outing maybe 4-7x/ month.

We have not visited this particular area yet, but did visit Pinehurst in 2018, and are planning a trip in the later part of 2020 as we have family in Grifton.

Price range up to $200k
Would like 2+ acres of land

We are used to driving 30-45 mins for various things. It seems like the best job prospects would be in the Greenville area. I'm looking for additional information and local opinions regarding towns, cities in the area.

Thank you in advance!

This is kind of a vague question. What are you looking for or what expectations do you have? Your $200k and 2+ acres is reasonable if you're not looking for a McMansion and don't mind a home that needs some work.

Rich, ty for replying. I know its a vague question, I apologize. Im looking for locals impressions and opinions of the cities and towns in the area that would have homes or acreage for sale. Im In my mid 30's and currently own my 2nd house. I have reasonable expectations having experience being a home owner and having been through moving and purchase 2x already. I know no areas are particularly crime free, but I'm sure locals could point to the 'safer' areas for those of us who are looking around, or areas that might have a decent contractor need,, as I would like for my fiancee to stay in the career path he enjoys and excels in. We are absolutely not looking for a McMansion by any means. We lead a particularly quiet lifestyle for being in our younger 30's. My fiancée is a general contractor, so a house that needs some updating or work is totally fine; mainly looking to find a house that's within reason (not perfect, but not completely run down).
