Relocation advice Wilmington area (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach: crime rates, neighborhoods, high schools)

Possible relocation to Wilmington area. Any feedback on safe, desirable neighborhoods and safe, good high schools for teenage boys? Any areas in Kure Beach or Carolina Beach where permanent folks reside? Seeing very mixed reviews on Wilmington in terms of crime rates and school ratings.

The best high school in Wilmington is Hoggard. You can use the school attendance zone to located neighborhoods in the zone. The area east of College, south of Oleander to the south end of the Hoggard district has lots of great neighborhoods.

The problem with CB/KB is that they are zoned to Ashley High School, which is ok, but not great.

The Hampstead area, north of Wilmington, is supposed to be good as well, Pender County schools.
