There looks to be a new subdivision being constructed on the north side of 74 just west of Compass Pointe in Leland. It appears the entrance is being built as we speak. Does anyone have any information on this new (assumed) subdivision and what it'll be called? There is a small sign at the entrance that was too tiny to read at 65 mph.
I thought I saw a little sign about a golf community on it. Maybe I'm wrong. It felt like it was far enough away from Compass that it could be its own place, but maybe Compass Pointe is just that big.
It is a second entrance to Compass Pointe. The new entrance is closer to the golf course and does not require driving through the community to reach the golf course. There are plans to have businesses along this road prior to reaching the Compass Pointe community gate.

There are a number of solutions in the works. Chemours is no longer discharging GenX for one.

Would you elaborate? I'm not certain what you are talking about. We are considering a move from Raleigh to Southport.
The study that found GenX in the river also identified six other similar compounds, about which almost nothing is known. As the amounts of GenX fall in the river, those other compounds and similar threats to the river have the attention of other policy makers such as New Hanover County Commissioner Rob Zapple.
