More specifically, the Wrightsville and Carolina Beach areas, and for the purposes of swimming.

I'd read that the water was more murky and brown than usual, and also wonder if runoff from the floods was still a factor.

Was thinking of a trip tomorrow if the water is good.

What exactly are "some areas"? Do those ares include Wrightsville and Carolina Beaches? What are the specific, current advisories you are referring to?

I have been wondering the same thing. Hoping someone actually has some answers. I just moved here in April and have been really disturbed by the issue with all the water in this area.

Answers to what? On September 29th the State cleared ok'd ocean swimming in New Hanover.
