Maybe they were getting hurricanes and tornadoes confused?

It’s been about 24 hours and no one has posted anything stupid, no wild rumors, and haven’t posted any immediately out of date storm tracks. Congratulations to the Eastern NC City-Data Community!

I hate it for anyone who has to deal with this, whether they are in the Bahamas or Bahama, North Carolina.

Hurricane Florence was bad enough way up into the center of the state, but the interior areas of the Coastal Plain, a county or two inland, have had an awful time the last few years.

It's tough that they're already struggling economically, and can't catch a break. Yet some of the friendliness, most helpful people I've met in this state have been in these areas (Elizabethtown and Kinston come to mind).

My sentiments as well.

So many people in the coastal plain are still recovering from Florence (some still trying to get over Matthew for that matter). Tough to take another blast just 12 months after the hell of Florence.

Hoping (despite the odds) that we all dodge a bullet this time.

According to WRAL, Dorian is currently a Cat 3 and is expected to hit Wilmington as a Cat 2. Much of ENC is also under a tornado watch/warning.
