Real Estate has been doing well because of Covid. A lot of folks leaving the big cities and buying up homes in suburbia.
Hamptons NY is another hot spot.

I wouldn't call the Outer Banks "suburbia".

This is an interesting article at first glance, but it seems a bit hyperbolic upon closer scrutiny. No surprise since it was written by the Outer Banks Association of Realtors (really like the term “jaw dropping” used in one of the descriptions).

“First and foremost, we have surpassed the 2005 record YTD total volume sold, having seen an astronomical $1.18 BILLION”.

Translation: It’s taken 15 years to pass 2005’s sales.
