Does anyone have a recommendation for a good reupholstery business in Eastern NC? I have seen several one-person shops in Hampstead and Wilmington, but I was not impressed with reviews. I am willing to go to Fayetteville or Raleigh for good work in a reasonable time.

I have 4 teak Danish modern chairs which had their black vinyl backs torn up by my cats. It should be a fairly simple job. I want a microfiber fabric replacement that is more resistent to scratching. Suggestion on fabric brands also welcome.

We had a guy in James City do a chair for us some time ago. Very good. I thought he had gone out of business, but he had simply moved. My sister in law, whose house is elegant, uses him and is very happy. I’ll try to get the name for you.

You might try one of the modern furniture stores in Raleigh, I found 4 or 5 of them.
This one carries both MCM and Danish Modern and they also carry upholstery.

Thanks. They sound like they would understand my Danish modern better than a shop which does Williamsburg-style chairs.

Undoubtedly! They might be able to direct you to an appropriate fabric shop as well. Love Danish Modern!
