The Alligator River isn’t named that for nuffin’. There have been sightings up on the OBX sound side.

The area is filled with golf courses.

Once in a while a blue moon 1 will be seen elsewhere crossing a road going from 1 golf course to another.

In over 15 years, have only seen it once.

A few years back 2 fighting on the edge of a lake made it on CBS news.

After a while, they got tired and went back into the lake.

No real problem.
Yeah, that was filmed by golfers on the 18th hole of Panthers Run golf course in Ocean Ridge a couple ears ago

If you're in eastern NC and the water is wet, it's probably got a gator in it!


My FIL sends me pics nearly weekly from OIB showing gators on the various golf courses he plays. Quite the hazard to play through! lol
