Can someone point me towards some websites/locations where one can rent an upscale apartment or a house? A friend is considering relocating to Greenville from the UK - his company is asking him to move, and he is trying to get a feel for what the rent will be like. His tastes run a bit on the expensive side, that is why I am putting in the term "upscale".

Thanks,

D

google local property management websites...there probably isn't going to be too many upscale homes for rent. Most of the time, around here if you can afford that type of rent most people seem to just end up buying a place. Real estate is still pretty reasonable here.

For truly upscale, I don't think there are any apartment complexes that are that fancy. I'd look into detached homes and townhouses.

Retirement areas aside, the terms "upscale" and "apartments" are typically mutually exclusive in most area of NC, as apartment and even townhome living is focused on singles, young families, and low income families, whilst homes on land are readily available and more culturally desirable than an apartment or condo. There are definitely exceptions, but it is easier to find a nice home for rent than a nice apartment.
