I for one do not care for chain restaurants , that is what
Myrtle beach offers.
we don't know what the OP likes so I just want
to add that Wilmington has a great offering of restaurants that
are not chain based.
downtown has a great many to choose from and so
does the Wrigthsville beach area.
little Carolina beach has a great italian restaurant that I understand
even people from Raleigh will drive to for a meal.
Let's not forget how Michaels' in CB has recieved awards for their food
in places as far away as NH.
Nobody I know here in Wilmington will drive to Myrtle beach to eat
at the Olive Garden.
