I'm looking to move to the coast sometime by this summer. How can I get info on different towns/locations? I have a 19-yr-old so I also need info about com. colleges, & I have a 10-wk-old so I need info on daycares & elementary schools.

Hi Tammy. Have you looked at Brunswick County, NC? It is the area from Wilmington, NC running down to the SC border. It has Brunswick Community College centrally located in the county in a town called Supply. I took my real estate classes there and it is a pretty nice place and there were updating it and renovating it. Also, I'd take a look at the city of Shallotte, it's the hub of the county with a Belks, WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes, Chilis, Japanese restuarants etc so it's got anything you'd need until you wanted to take a 30 min drive to Wilmington or 45 to Myrtle Beach. Also our county has the 3rd lowest tax rate out of all the counties in NC, so a $200,000 house would cost around $600 a year in county taxes! Also since you are looking for something by this summertime, just to let you know if you have a contract in hand by April 30th you might be able to get up to a $6,500 tax credit! Just a thought. Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm here to help!
