We had a living legend as coach. It takes years to allow them to bow out gracefully. He replaced our great offensive coordinator Mark Richt and replaced him with a loser of a guy Jeff Bowden i.e. the non-football son. The rest is history. We couldn't just say "oh that Ron Zook guy is terrible lets fire him".

Clemson was only favored because Manuel(who Desmond Howard said would be a heisman candidate after OU game) was hurt.
There we go again with ESPN guys. Howard reaches alot. Manuel isn't that good; never was. It's the reason he most likely won't be the starter as at the end of season if not next game. He has been outplayed by a scrawny freshmen with good vision, something Manuel completely lacks.

You look very foolish commenting on Florida's schedule. Care to compare sagarin rankings at the end of the year?
Why so it factors in conference rankings... again, it's non-conference play we are talking about. Past 5 years (showing AQ conference opponents plus top 25 teams)....
FSU - Oklahoma (2), BYU (2), USF, Alabama, Colorado (2)
UF - USF, Miami, Hawaii
As you notice, you haven't played anyone in non-conference play (except us).

You are right, Foley does demand results. It's why UF won two national championships while FSU hasn't done anything in 10 years.
Well when you accept any player that other schools wont touch due to their criminal records (i.e. Chris "No means Yes" Rainey, Percy "I'm banned in Virginia High School athletics" Harvin, etc), you have potential to do that. So hats off to these criminals and their accomplishments with Tebow i.e. "God's Chosen One" who failed Him his senior year .

Expectations are driven by the fanbase which goes back to why FSU has a casual following. They will put up with a decade of not winning while top programs will not. <insert any pic depending on any time of the game to prove your point>
So casual that we average above capacity in the middle of our dark period 2005 and 2006. As for recent attendance history, we are still between 90-95% capacity, which is still good (max is 82,300). Fun Fact: Our team set your stadium attendance record.

Trying to figure out how. 11-1 doesn't take you into the National Championship coming from the ACC. The 1 loss was my prediction against Oklahoma. As for ACC Championship, it is to be seen. But I am sure you will let me know if it doesn't happen.

Since you didn't give OU any credit before or after the game, I'll go ahead and show the rest of your post;

Laramie was wild this last weekend, the whole town was taken over by the Sea of Red. I only wish I could be in Madison this Saturday with the Sea of Black.

Now I see where this quote came from... the Predicting VT thread. Sly person. This was my prediction on VT's record prior to post season play, not FSU's prediction. Tip off... we don't play GT but once every 5 or so years; this is not one of those years. In fact, I can't find where I predicted our record on this board. All I stated about my school is...
Quote:
This is how I predict the Atlantic Division
#1 FSU (8-0)
This is what I believed (preseason) our ACC record would be going into the ACC Championship (which I also claimed we would win).

As for Oklahoma, I stated I don't feel they go undefeated, which I still believe. In fact, one loss I predict is @OK St game. Though, I never said they were a bad team. In fact, I stated the winner of our game had a good shot to go far... in other words, that was my pregame credit to the Sooners. Anyways, good luck to your team for the rest of the season.

Wonder if OU might lose at Baylor. That would be pretty funny.

Eh, even if they make it through the season they'll end up losing their bowl game.

SUBJECT CHANGE!! SUBJECT CHANGE!!

Your surprise team so far in the young season??

Clemson - Beating Auburn and FSU back to back

Baylor - Beat TCU and Robert Griffin's performance week in and week out

ASU - Beating a decent Mizzou team, and whippin for the 1st time in 12 tries the mighty Trojans

Illinois - Good 4-0 and they have decent skill players

South Florida - Dont know much, but being ranked #16 by AP and #14 by USA Today has to mean something right?

Clearly I give the nood to Clemson- Dropping Auburn the way they did and stopping the winning streak and to clown FSU is crazy not to think of this team as GOOD.

Clemson for sure. 6-7 last season, now 4-0. Boyd really step up and Watkins is doing what he is doing as a true freshman.

The other team is Georgia Tech. 1595 rushing yards in 4 games. Washington is close to 1000 yards passing. I don't care if they played cupcakes. They did play a good defense in UNC and still put up 492 total offense, 312 rushing. No other teams playing similiar competition posted that as they are #1 in total offense. I would have never guess that when the season began.

Honorable mention: Toledo for taking two AQ schools (Ohio St, Syracuse) to the wire.

Nope, it means nothing. They have only beaten a crappy Notre Dame team (by only 3 points), Ball State, Florida A&M, and UTEP. My high school football team has already played a tougher schedule than South Florida so far.

Clemson and Georgia Tech are my two biggest surprises.

I knew Baylor would be good-- and give TCU a run for their money... thanks to RGIII (didn't expect them to beat them though!)

LSU is not a surprise being ranked #1 as I called it in my predictions pre-season on this board
