Petrino is human. Accept his punishment and move along.

Was this a surprise to anyone with the way he did Louisville and Atlanta?

A lack of loyalty usually trickles down to every aspect of your life. I'm not surprised because us in Louisville know what caliber of man Petrino is firsthand.

Hey, at least the relationship was with an adult....

Still pretty dumb, though.

It's funny what you can get away with if you have a winning record.
If he were 13-13 in 2 seasons there they'd already have canned him. LOL.

I still remember when they canned Jack Crowe after losing the season opener to the Citadel.

Agreed 100%

I think Petrino and Miles were separated at birth, not character guys at all. That seems to be a problem there in the SEC West.

Although y'all have to put up with the Aggies now, one good thing you get out of the deal is that Sumlin is a good character guy.

Of course, some would say Barry Switzer was not exactly a "character guy" either.

The Bootlegger's Boy = Of course not. Refresh my memory: How long has it been since Switzer coached at Oklahoma?

I thought we were talking about that Petrino guy and the here and now. Perhaps Stoops' character would be a better topic since he is actually the coach?

All the negative stuff on Switzer's watch is as big a part of OU tradition as the championships. Have to take the bad with the good. It all is part of their legacy.
