(2) Ohio State: They won't win their conference. If they beat Michigan and PSU beats MSU, PSU wins their division. And if PSU loses, Michigan is the division winner.
(3) Clemson: I expect Clemson to win the conference again, as the Coastal is a bloodbath again.
(4) Washington: They need to beat WSU and the winner of the Pac-12 South to get in.
Clemson & Alabama seem like pretty safe choices at this point (Alabama more so than Clemson. I have a feeling they could lose to BOTH Auburn and Florida and still make the top 4).
IF Ohio State beats Michigan, I think they are in safely......even though they wouldn't even play in the conference championship much less win it! The final spot would come down than to Wisconsin/Oklahoma/OK State/Washington. IF Washington beats BOTH Wazzu & USC/Cal they'll be the 4th, if they lose 1 of the 2 and Wisconsin beats Minnesota AND Penn State I think they'll end up the 4th. IF both Washington AND Wisconsin suffer a loss I think the Bedlam winner would end up the 4th team as both would have 2 losses, but they'd be a 2 loss conference champ that beat a top 10 team in a defacto "championship game". However if Colorado wins the Pac 12 beating Washington they'd be a P5 champion that beat a top 4 team who's only 2 losses were to teams with a combined at worst 18-5 records.
Where things get interesting is if Michigan beats Ohio state. In this scenario only Clemson/Alabama would be safe and you'd still have Michigan/Ohio State/Wisconsin/Washington/hell even Colorado & Penn State fighting for the last 2. Don't even want to venture to guess the last 2 there. I'd say the Big 10 winner would be a definite 3rd (Michigan/Wisconsin) and than Washington (if they win the Pac 12), Oklahoma (if they beat OK State), Big 10 loser (Michigan), Ohio State, Oklahoma State (if they beat Oklahoma), Colorado (Pac 12 champion), Big 10 loser (Wisconsin), Penn State in that order, but who the hell knows
again? as if they won last season??
the same osu that lost to a then unranked psu?
