Hello everyone. I am currently a Freshman at Barry University. I am very interested in the field of Forensic studies and you can only imagine my astonishment when I stumbled upon this page. I am currently looking for a College that offers a Bachelors in Forensic Science, but now I after reading these reviews I am not sure if this would be benefial for me. If you all can give me some direction for my future it would be highly appreciated.
P.S.
I have been researching experts in the field who have excelled, for example Henry Lee and he started out with a Bachelors in Forensic Science. That is where I initially got my direction.

I think I covered It pretty well if you get a forensic science degree and don't get in with a forensics lab you are boned.
If you get a Chemistry or Biochemistry degree you have slightly better options and still have the same chance of getting a forensics job. However, the career options for Chemists and biologists especially with the private sector still suck badly.
I'd be prepared to go to business grad school or professional school as that is the only decent path available to science grads.
If you are interested in science go to med school, pharm school, dental school, physical therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, nursing or don't bother. You will joining the chorus of bright Americans who are suffering and have had their lives ruined.
excellent advice. lately I have noticed Graduate programs (many online) in a nebulous "Criminal Justice" field....(probation officers in Tenn may have paid 30k to get a degree, they make less than that as salary).
Science is one branch.
Law is the other.
From the legal branch I have seen many who have graduate degrees and cannot find a job. I teach paralegal, but not online. Be very, very wary of anything offered online. They can promise you the moon, but jobs in this field are extremely competitive.
I do not know anyone with a decent medical or legal career who has gotten this through online programs.
