Thanks for helping me to decide to vote for Romney.The government has no business in handing out grants to anyone regardless of their financial status.If any awad is given at all ,it should be from the school thats based on grades or,other resources not the American taxpayer .

It's a myth that education is more expensive than it should be or has been historically. We went through a time period where education was too cheap and everyone got used to it... so now they are calling it expensive when it has caught up.
If you look at the teachers salary in the 1920s and now and then the cost of college in the 1920s and now, you'll see that they have increased by roughly the same magnitude.

The average debt at a top 100 school is around 15k. What you have are many kids who shouldn't be in college racking up loans and never graduating.
