Great story and mad props to this young man, BUT...

He is an extraordinary individual and most homeless kids are not. The problem is that he will be held up as an example to every poor, black, socially marginalized kid as if to say "He was homeless and living in a car with his Mom and attended three different high schools and he'll be studying physics at college. Why can't you?"

IMO that's just not fair. We shouldn't compare an extraordinary individual such as this young man to the average kid. It's easy to laud the extraordinary person. It's much harder to ensure that every kids is not homeless and can afford to go to college.

It's impressing of course, but he's still talking out loans and had to use crowdfunding to pay for Howard. Not exactly the self-sufficient person some are making him to be. Nonetheless, I still think he is a very hard-working person and will go far in the future.

Goes to show that intelligence (the natural kind) goes a long way. In reverse, a great home and school won't make an idiot any smarter.
