Who makes more on average college graduates or high school graduates

Most college graduates are high schools graduates too.

Limiting to College graduates vs high school graduates only, the answer is college graduates.

On average, the college graduate makes more than the high school graduate and it isn't even close...

No doubt college graduates, even if they have general liberal arts degrees.

Maybe 20+ years ago you could land a good job with only a high school diploma. Not really the case today. Sure you have some multi-millionaire celebrities that made it big with a high school degree, but these people became successful because they have enormous talent and/or had the right connections to make them stars. Can't say the people I know with only a high school diploma have better jobs than people I know with a college degree.

I definitely agree that college graduates do earn more on average.

I also believe that if you have the right connections then you can do pretty well with just a HS Diploma; I know a decent amount of people like this. Maybe this varies by region but here in the NYC region, this is the case. However, if you want to make high management then you would definitely need a degree in the vast majority of cases.

From what I have seen, people who make much more than their amount of education would dictate LOVE to come on here and brag.

People with high school degrees and humanities majors love coming on here and telling people they make $ if they are successful.

The others, not so much.

Easy, those graduates who have marketable SKILLS tend to make more than those who don't. High School or otherwise.....awful lot of Lit majors out there working at Starbucks.....
