Six figures is believable, even normal, for a realtor working full-time. You quoted a number more than four times that.
That is like me saying, "Geographers make $160/hr" and then saying "Too funny that people can't believe geographers make $40/hr". Really, your sales number are believable and very possible for a successful realtor running their own business, and as gross revenue only. The reality is that the BLS tags the median salary for a full-time real estate agent at just under $40k/year.

I really couldn't find much in this thread that had anything to do directly with education except the OP's master was not in a lucrative field, I'm closing it.
