I see that Nova Southeastern University is no longer accepting students into its M.A.T.L. program. I completed this program many years ago, and loved it. The tuition was reasonable, the time to complete the program was moderate, I loved being able to complete the degree through distance learning, and the program had educational merit.
Does anyone know why NSU is no longer taking new applicants into the program? Is it being discontinued, or is there another reason for this? I see that all of the graduate degrees NSU currently offers in education have tuition rates way higher than the rates were for the M.A.T.L. program in recent years. Is this an attempt to force students into more expensive programs?
It would really be a shame if NSU kills this program. It really was a great program for working teachers.
