How many of you have college degrees? (homeschool, bachelors, skill)

My mom and dad are disappointed that I never finished college. They often refer to my education level as a reason for me for not having a great paying job. I always tell them I'm not the only person without a degree. So I'm asking how many of you have degrees and what type of degree do you have.

Bachelors in Business Administration...

I believe almost everyone out of high school should either (1) go onto college for a Bachelors (minimum); if that's not feasible, then (2) Trade or Community college for an Associates for an actual trade, if that's not feasible, then (3) Military service to serve and learn a skill.

Neither my husband nor I have college degrees. He went to a trade school for high school, and I only took a few courses at the community college before deciding to get married and have babies. We are very happy and have all that we need. He works fulltime as a sign installer/repairman and is able to support us... I stay home and homeschool my children. Before I stayed home, I made a very nice living handling insurance claims for a dental office. Before that, I was a dental assistant (trained on the job). There are so many things that you can do for work without a degree, and if you'll be happy doing those things, then there's no need to go get one. If you want a specialized career, though, then of course you'll need to go back to school.

although i do have a professonal degree, I do believe that collage isn't for everyone, but i believe that education is the key, and without it, you limit yourself and your possibilities. if you are able to, you should get a degree, because most companies are requiring that their employees have degrees.

Currently i have a HS degree and am studying to transfer to a school to get a bachelor's degree in Finance. I still believe that a decent standard of living can be had without a college degree but in my desired field of Finance no one believes that.

i got mine but when it was cheap, 100 bucks a semester.
in past years, i have retooled for carreer changes 3x, (recently retired) used jr college everytime, cheap near by and effective. i love them and no student loans.
these days, 50% of college students drop out. the student loan does not go away, and it is no guarantee of a job. watched TV yesterday SDSU graduation, manpower was there to pick up the unemployed from the graduation line, there were many.

I'm currently getting my undergrad and the plan is to go straight to get a masters.

People my age just getting out of high school are not going to be able to get the jobs that even 10 years ago you didn't need a college degree for. It's so easy to come by scholarships and grants for people with good work ethic that paying for schools is only as hard as you slacked off in high school.

I have a masters degree in business administration. I don't think a college degree is for everyone, but I do think your prospects for financial stability are better with a degree.

This poll (so far) is not representative of the general population. In real life only 28% have bachelors degrees.

I have a BS in Accounting from an Italian College which cost plenty.

But that hasn't done too much for me as College Degrees seem to have diminished in value and sometimes working against me when there's "cheepskate paying" employers.
