Hello. This fall I'll be a junior in college going for my Bachelor of Music (BM) in Music Theory. I'm thinking of studying in a different country for graduate school and I'm just interested to see if anyone else with a BM has had that experience. How was employment? Thanks.
I was a music major in college, never went to grad school. Will you be studying composition? One of my professors told me that she needed to be fluent in German in order to get her PhD in music. She's a musicologist.
I just graduated with my BM (in music education). Honestly, I think that if you're a theory major, it would be great to study abroad in India. If you think about it, the theory associated with the music in areas such as India would be SO different than our western theory. Just a thought... get a broad perspective!!
