You really want to go in the military? You don't seem to know much about it. Maybe you should talk to a recruiter.

Not much also because I have never been in a military. Maybe I should hit up my local recruiter.

When you say to the recruiter that you want to join but in a safe, non-threatened, non-dangerous capacity he will probably give you a funny look, tell you that there's really no such thing, and later be pissed because he'll think you were just ****ing with him.

Do you not know anyone who has been in the military?
Or have you really not paid attention while growing up?

I had to fill out the Selective System form when I turned 18.
I have no experience in the military.

if you join the military, you will not be able to leave anytime you want.

enlisted or commission, you have to sign a contract. that contract will have the length of time you have to serve
.

leaving the military could be done, but this is only for those who have a medical condition or anything that will prevent them from serving any further.

I really hope you're joking around Texas user. Why would you want to go in the military? Where did you learn those languages?

Your knowledge of Urdu could very well land you a job with the feds. Check out the NSA and DoD. I'm currently reading a book titled "The Good Son" by Michael Gruber. You might enjoy it. The author really did his homework when it comes to Urdu and my slight knowledge of it makes the book even more interesting. I mention this book because several of the characters speak Urdu and one is a college grad who works for the NSA. She is also a computer information specialist. Interesting stuff.

Namaste and Dil Se.
