I have recently moved to Stetson Hills in the Indigo Ranch area. My daughter attends Skyview Middle school, but we have no bus service in our area due to the fact that transportation believes walking less than 2.5 miles is acceptable for students. I disagree!
I would love to set up a carpool with other middle school parents. I can always drive in the morning, but can't ever pick up in the afternoon.
Is there anyone out there looking to share driving responsibilities? Please email me at christina.1.johnson@farmers.com if you are interested! Thank you!

Have you thought about talking to the office at Skyview to see if there is a carpool manager?

As a former school principal, I doubt that people in "transportation believes walking less than 2.5 miles is acceptable for students". It's more an issue of funding...and of course, funding by taxes is a big issue in Colorado!

I agree with you...too far...particularly depending on local street, road, and sidewalk conditions.

Your school's PTA-type organization may have some contacts for you.
