I'm tired of going to dentists that act more like businessmen than medical practitioners. This particular place that I just quit not too long ago in Briargate area is nothing but show. I don't need an automated "Happy Birthday" e-cards or postcards of greetings, well trained front desk staff with all false friendly smiles, and all the rest of great "customer service" practices when they can't fix simple dental problems. Forget teeth cleaning, as I do that everyday with my own tootbrush at about the same quality as their's.

Can you recommend a great dentist who cares about his/her patients and not just the bank account -- preferably someone in Briargate area or not so far from there? Thanks in advance!

Is that a recommendation or are you trying to guess the name of the dentist that I dropped? If latter, no.

My wife has been going to Dr. Cea for several years. She has been very happy with his work. I have been going to Hollowbrook Dentistry for about 5 years and have been Very Happy with their service. Dr. Lee Smith, Dr. Eric Erlander, and their staff have been Great! It is nice to have a dentist who warns you of potential problems, but advises to keep an eye on it rather than turning it into a $500-$2000 bill.

Just went to Dr. Cea last month for a root canal and crown. I would return in a heartbeat. Fast, professional and PAINLESS!

My apologies for my lack of clarity. That was a cautious recommendation. Cautious because I have only been to him once.

I thought I had lost a filling which had been done overseas using laser dentistry. He examined me, explained how the particular composite could shave off a bit of material, without losing the filling. Said the basic filling was still fine and that there was no need to redo the filling. Charged a minimal fee.

I thought he was reasonable in his approach. I think other dentists might have redrilled and refilled, even though it was not necessary.

Ditto. Doctor Arnold is great, so is her staff.

Thanks everyone. I'll check them out and see which of them accepts my insurance -- probably all. More recommendations or confirmations would be highly welcomed...

For others, Dr. Cea also has a savings plan for those who do not have dental insurance.
