Weird. My wife's tele floor at Penrose Main was always hiring, even lots of new grads. What are/were you looking for? Hope you found something!

Yes, there really are lots of wonderful small businesses, but they are indeed underpromoted and underappreciated. Not all, but the majority of residents I know preferred Chick Fil A, Chipotle, Panera, Old Chicago, etc. over local restaurants...I was definitely guilty of it at times, too. I used to go to REI for my bicycle work but then discovered CS Bikes in Old Colo City. They're great and need more promotion for sure.

When I retired in 09 I got a job and went to Iraq for a year. When I returned I got on with Qwest right away. Was there for 4 months then applied once for a GS on Ft. Carson and was hired about 3 months later.

My wife works on Peterson and they are always hiring at her work. People are always quiting or moving. They hire people with no prior military experiance but most people quit cause of working 2nd or 3rd shift or weekends.

Don't you have to move out of the country to get a call center job?

Colorado is to add more jobs than most states, per this article.

The local Bal Seal story is also in the local paper with pretty good coverage..
