Can we get this thread back on topic or can a moderator close it please.
As others have said, Old Colorado City and the area around Colorado College seem to be the most gay friendly.

Thanks for the heads up. I will not move into those areas.

Many parents actually do and they end up in San Franscisco or the nearest metro gay community.

Many Christians have a different point-of-view than this. We're not all the same.

Anyway, if the OP is still reading, the areas around Manitou Springs or around Colorado College are good choices.

One day we'll get fed up. And it won't be pretty.

Until 1965 the U.S was 90% White. The 1965 immigration act was lobbied heavily for by Jewish groups to get rid of the 1925 immigration act (which Jewish groups and congressmen opposed VEHEMENTLY)... Considering it was 90% White there was much less hatred than we're really brainwashed into believing.

And today, you're much more likely to be White and experience prejudice and being told to 'get out' when you take a wrong turn and end up in a Mexican barrio or Black ghetto in our own country.

Maybe not but why is at these 'pro-pride' parades you have people cross-dressing, flamboyant costumes, people in drag, ridiculous scary clothes, men in dresses, etc...?

Why do you feel the need to flaunt your sexuality in the face of others with flags, gaudy colors, etc? Leave it to behind closed doors like a normal person.

Why are leftists only tolerant when people agree with their narrow viewpoints?

Clarification -

God intended for Adam to be with Eve...not for Adam to diddle around with Steve..

Better?

That said, Boulder sure is a G&L-friendly place...if you can afford the cost of entry.

If the OP is still watching this thread, or there are others who are interested, some areas of Castle Rock are quite tolerant. We also have good schools and lots of kids, but it can be a hefty commute to CoS, depending on where you're employed. I can't promise you that you'll never hear a snide comment, but I can promise you that more than a few of us will be happy to call you neighbor.

We're moving to Springs in July. My 25 year-old son is single, gay and stuck in a dead end job here and we would love to have him move with us, but he's concerned about all of the stereotypes about Springs he's heard. Having been there a few times, I don't really get the vibe that the place is anti-gay. Focus on the Family is based there, but doesn't own everything or everyone. In fact, reading the Gazette, I get the distinct impression they like to poke Dr. Dobson in the eye whenever they get the chance. My impression of the place is that it's a cool place to live with smart, friendly people who would make any reasonable person feel welcome. I know the GLBT group has a block ad on the official chamber of commerce map and I saw several rainbow stickers driving around. I'd say give Springs a try.
