Is anyone here getting more than 1% - 2.0% on a savings account?
Thanks

Hmm, I doubt it. Will be interesting to see what others reply. You can get a little better rates with some of the online banks I think, such as Ally, which is currently offering 0.90 for savings, but I don't think I have even seen any online ones higher than that.

I do like the online banks, as I can link them to my local credit union account and easily transfer money in and out. Be sure to check hold times, etc if you plan on doing this as some take longer to make the transfer I think.

Oh ... AAFCU though does have a CHECKING account that gets 1.25 (up to 25,000 balance) if you do so many signature based credit transactions a month. Look on their site at the Maaximum checking account. I think other credit unions may offer something similar.

Not even close. I think my interest rate on my savings is like .2 percent...pretty crappy. I've never tried an online bank, but as Beezle indicated, I've heard that it's the way to go for slightly higher rates.

First commercial downtown on tejon is 2.5% up to 25k for checking. They are super nice but that's the only location.
