Are there any good places downtown that have bands play on the weekends? We really like cover bands that play older rock music. Just anything to sit and drink to and occasionally get up and dance if there is a good song.

The Indy paper usually has a pretty good listing of such things.

Acacia Park has a live music series in the summer. Diverse type of music, with mostly local groups. Doubt that you'll get "older" rock music there however. Check out Stargazers; they skew toward a more "mature" (we're in that demographic) crowd than the other live music venues in town. There was a good article in the Indy two or three weeks ago where they interviewed the local venue owners about their particular genres.
