Campbell is a local builder and has been in business since 1965. They have customized the home for us using our own drawings.

Also consider St. Aubyn's Homes, another local builder. They can make adjustments in the framing of the house to accommodate a particular room, if necessary.

Keller is another good builder. One of my friends in COS had a home built by them 2 years ago. She is quite pleased with the finished product.
Thanks. I talked to Campbell and they don't build outside of communities, apparently. I really like them, though. Seem very willing to help and very knowledgeable. Which community did you pick if you don't mind me asking? Did you do all of the selections from afar or did you make a trip there? We are flying out for a 4 day visit in November, hopefully will alleviate some worries I have at this point.

We are moving to Falcon Hills...Campbell has opened 17 new lots and that will be the last of the home sites in Falcon Hills. Since we live in MD, the community manager has been in touch with us weekly on the progress of the home and with pictures. We will settle in October, leaving MD in mid-September.

I think it will alleviate them. You'll love the city. As you've seen, we have quite a few builders here that have impressed people. It is very preferable to see the lot physically ahead of time and to walk through a model house with your intended floor plan. That way you'll know what views you would have from home and if the house feels right to you.

When we pondered building a house, we liked G. J. Gardner. (spelling could be wrong)

What eventually stopped us from building a house, as we wanted/preferred to live central/west side, is that the soils are a big unknown and we wouldn't be financially prepared for thousands of dollars for mitigation. I'm sure that any builder would check for this, but get some maps that show all the underground mining shafts etc so you pick in the right area.
