I am considering a move to Colorado Springs. Job would be on the west side of town near Garden of the Gods. I'm wondering if anyone has any infant childcare recommendations in that area. Also, is there a rating scale for daycares in Colorado? And how long do waitlists tend to be?

Sorry, I don't know much about the west side. I can tell you the going rate around here is about $1k a month (give or take) for full time. We use Goddard and love it, but it's on the northeast side. There may be one over there too. They are a national chain that consistently gets great reviews. They typically hire certified teachers so you know it's not just about wiping noses and butts. We used them in Virginia and here and have no complaints.

Child Nursery Centers... or Child Connection, or whatever they call themselves these days... I really like them. They have centers scattered around.

Colorado is known as having some of the highest rates of child care in the nation.

We had a great experience with Childrens Depot years ago but it wasn't cheap.
