Anyone been over yet. I went today. It is HUGE -- about twice the size of our average KS! It's restaurant area is much ado about nothing, however. A little hard to find your way around.

They still have a ways to go before they match Wegmans back East.

I'd like to check out some time, but it is not anywhere near where I work or live. Is it kind of like a Costco or a Super Target now?

No. Take your regular King Soopers, then add to it some odds and ends that are non-food items (limited casual clothing items, and such). Wider isles are nice.

Your new store sounds like the Fry's "Marketplace" stores we have in the Phoenix area; huge buildings with a wine/beer bar, cheese stand, salad bar, bakery, liquor store, drug store, hot food line, sushi, sandwiches made to order, dishes, pots, pans, small kitchen appliances, clothing, back to school section, starbucks, etc. Fry's is the Kroger brand here in ARIZ and King Soopers is their brand in COLO.

Kind of runs counter to the smaller neighborhood markets that could be used to minimize traffic impacts and promote walkability.

I went this morning! It is huge. Loved the size of the produce section. It is about twice the size of the one in the Stetson Hills store. The cheese case is awesome! I'm not sure if the added clothing section is necessary. It just seems odd there. It felt very similar to being in the commissary at Peterson.
