hey all...so im thinking of buying a new car and I have searched a lot. seem the cheapest has been Miami FL. I am looking at a new chevy colorado 4 x 4 and the price is a huge difference (5,000 to 8,000) in comparison to here.

Question is, I was to buy the truck in Miami FL, would I have to pay taxes here since I initially buying it from a dealer

Taxes are based on the state of residency (when going between 2 states). If you're a FL resident and buying in FL, you'll pay taxes there. If you're a resident of any Other state, the dealer won't collect taxes and you pay them to the DMV/MVA at the time of registration/tags/title transfer.
