I'd agree that is important to know. I'd also recommend doing a google maps street view on any place being considered if you can't physically check out the place. The southeast part of town is widely varied, and can change considerably within just a few blocks. Deerfield Hills, Pikes Peak Park, and East Borough are some of the most variable. Spring Creek, South Borough and some of the newer developments near Bradley and Hancock are as nice as any found in the north end.

Put yourself in the place of the guy who owns a small apartment complex.

He scraped up the money to buy it, has put in thousands of hours of work, and now the government is telling him he can't raise the rent?

His costs will be going up to stay in operation. He can't function without raising the rent in many cases.

He'll go out of business.

The rental increases we are seeing are hardly in line with increases in expenses. Why are so many so quick to overlook the devastating societal effects of unchecked greed?
