So I understand COS is pretty much a city with a lot of sprawl, rather than having little towns along its borders (like Denver has Aurora, Lakewood, Westminster, Wheat Ridge, Littleton, etc that have their own downtown areas).
Other than downtown COS where do people gather? Are there any other areas that have a downtown feel to it with shops, coffee cafes, occasional festivals etc? (Other than Colorado City, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park.) Or is all the activity in downtown COS?

Most of the towns and neighborhoods have their own little activities - Security/Widefield, Fountain, Monument, Palmer Lake, various neighborhoods within the city, etc.

Downtown Cos is fairly unique to the region in its size and scope. OCC and Manitou are neat, but won't have near the range of activities. Everything else is very spread out and/or sporadic in nature. Sure there are things like Patty Jewett Porchest various ONEN festivals and north of Woodman Rd, Briarfest and various movie nights, holiday festivals, concerts and movie nights in farther northern neighborhoods that are put on by numerous HOAs. Overall, there are no concentration of activities and places like what is found downtown.
